Indian fish to repair damaged heart Muscle?


Researchers believe that this thymosine beta-4 is helping in repairing the damaged heart muscle.
Zebrafish is a type of tropical striped fish used to available in the river Ganga of India. The river is familiar for its holiness and it is worshiped by Indian Hindus and the river Ganga may answer for millions of prayers for a renewed life.

The Zebrafish is capable of repairing its own heart to some extent up to 20 percent within a week.

The Zebra fish in this process of regeneration does not use any of its stem cells but it uses its own adult heart cells for making the repair work.
The Researchers believe their further study on this regeneration process of Zebrafish would lead to the discovery of new drugs and treatments that will save many of the human beings whose heart cells are being damaged after heart attack.
